Black Lined Greyboard is a rigid greyboard faced with black paper on one side.
The black face gives the board a clean, dark presentation surface, while the grey reverse provides the main structure and stiffness.
It is useful where the visible side of the board needs a darker, more finished appearance than standard greyboard.
Because the board is uncoated, the surface has a more natural paper feel rather than a gloss or sealed finish.
The main benefit of Black Lined Greyboard is its balance of rigidity, simple presentation and strong contrast.
The black face works well for display, mounting and packaging applications where a white or kraft surface would not give the right look.
It can be cut, mounted, glued and converted for flat board uses, presentation products and rigid packaging components.
Print can be more limited than on white board because the dark surface affects colour visibility.
Light inks, foils, labels, stickers or mounted graphics are usually better choices than standard full-colour print directly onto the black face.
Black Lined Greyboard is commonly used for presentation boxes, picture mounting, showcards, display boards, folders, backing panels and premium-style packaging components.
It works best for dry indoor applications where stiffness and appearance are the main requirements.
Standard Black Lined Greyboard is not designed as a moisture, grease or water barrier.
It should not be used for direct food contact unless the exact grade has been confirmed as suitable for that purpose.
For best results, specify the board by thickness, sheet size, black face requirement, reverse finish, mounting method and final application.
