Displayboard is a rigid board with a white surface on both sides, usually built around a grey or white centre.
It is designed for visual display work where the finished piece needs to stay flat, look clean from both sides, and hold enough stiffness for mounting or hanging.
The two-sided white finish makes it more suitable than single-sided board when both faces may be visible.
Displayboard is currently available in thicknesses from 1000 microns to 3000 microns and is commonly supplied with a grey or white centre.
The main strength of Displayboard is its combination of rigidity, flatness and a clean printable surface.
It gives showcards, display panels and hanging signs enough body to hold their shape without needing a heavier backing material.
The white surfaces support clear graphics, simple branding and mounted print work.
Display boards are widely used for POS displays, signage, showcards and exhibition graphics, with many grades suitable for digital, screen and UV print depending on the exact surface finish.
Print performance depends on the board construction, print method and whether the surface is coated or uncoated.
For detailed colour work, large solid ink areas or double-sided print, testing is recommended before production.
Displayboard is used mainly for show card mounting and hanging displays, but it can also be used for display panels, retail signs, promotional boards, presentation pieces and short-term indoor signage.
It works best where the board needs to be stiff, flat and presentable, rather than folded into complex packaging.
The main limitation is that standard Displayboard is usually intended for indoor or dry-use applications.
It is not designed as a moisture barrier, grease barrier or direct food contact board unless a specific grade has been supplied and tested for that use.
For best results, choose the thickness around the size of the display, how it will be mounted, how long it needs to stay flat, and whether one or both sides will be visible.
