From a packaging angle, it is used when a pack needs stiffness, durability, and a solid board structure that can handle regular movement, storage, and handling.
Millboard is also available to defence-standard specifications, making it suitable for more controlled packaging requirements where board consistency matters.

Fibreboard/Millboard is not usually the best choice for lightweight retail packaging, high-colour print work, or packaging where a bright white presentation surface is needed.
It should also be protected from wet, damp, or outdoor conditions unless the board has been specified with suitable moisture resistance or barrier protection.
