Coated White Greyboard is a solid board made from recycled paper and board, with a smooth coated white surface on one side.
The white face gives the material a print-friendly surface, while the greyboard base provides thickness, stiffness and a practical backing.
It is often used where packaging or board components need a clean printed side without the cost of a fully white board.
This grade is also sometimes referred to simply as greyboard, although the coated white face gives it a more suitable surface for print and presentation work.
The main benefit of Coated White Greyboard is its balance of rigidity, printability and cost control.
The coated white side supports clearer print than plain greyboard, making it suitable for packaging, labels, backing sheets and simple branded board products.
The recycled greyboard base keeps the material economical while still giving good stiffness for flat sheets and box-making applications.
It is generally used for non-direct food contact packaging, unless the exact grade has been tested and supplied for a specific food-safe use.
The reverse side is usually greyback, with brown back options also available depending on stock.
Coated White Greyboard is used mainly for printed packaging, layer sheets, interleaving sheets, notepad backs and box making.
It is a practical choice where the board needs to be strong and flat, but only one side needs a cleaner white surface.
It is not designed as a moisture, grease or water barrier unless a separate coating or lining has been added.
For best results, specify the board by thickness, sheet size, print method, reverse colour, rigidity needs and whether the finished product will be used for packaging, backing or interleaving.
